What do we provide?
F&B Environmental Consulting provides consulting services and knowledge for national and international research and development projects in the field of chemical hazard, risk assessment and regulation. We contribute to
the project acquisition, provide
support during the lifetime of a project and
participate as scientific partners.
F & B as Scientific partners
Assuming a subject matter that is compatible with our scientific expertise, we also carry out and participate in the research and development work
per se. We specialise in
- development of regulatory options for specific groups of chemicals and/or exposure situations
- development of adequate policy options
- analysis and conceptualisation of the toxicology and ecotoxicology of chemical mixtures
- design of toxicological and ecotoxicologal experiments, data analysis
Right now we are involved in the EU projects
Contamed (FP7, co-ordinated by Prof. Andreas Kortenkamp, London University),
NanoFATE (FP7, co-ordinated by Dr. Claus Svendsen, CEH, UK) and HEROIC (FP7, co-ordinated by the Swiss Centre for Applied Human Toxicology (SCAHT)). Additionally, we participate currently in a project sponsored by the German Federal Environmental Agency on the hazard and risk assessment of pesticides and biocides, a project sponsored by the foundation on the assessment of endocrine disrupters and an EFSA sponsored project on the same topic. Finally, we work with Prof. Andreas Kortenkamp on the state of the art report on the assessment of endocrine disrupters

Services for project acquisition
We regularly contribute to the conceptualization and implementation of research proposals, in particular in the context of European Research Frameworks. We were involved in the succesful of acquisition of

- contributes to the non-scientific parts of the propsal, such as the elaboration of the "European added value" or the Gender perspective
- copyedits proposal texts
- ensures the compliance with all formal obligations
- provides a central repository for all necessary documents, forms and propsal drafts
- serves as a central link and communication hub between the multi-national partners during the intense final phase of proposal preparation
Services during the lifetime of R&D projects
F&B Environmental Consulting also provides a range of technical and scientific services during the lifetime of sucessfully established projects. This includes the

- maintenance of a central repository for data, documents, drafts, etc.
